Debut Album Launch

Widely known for his ukulele antics, local songwriter, musician and all round entertainer Geoff Gatt launches his debut album Ten Year Road on 9th December at The Black Box, Belfast.

Geoff shot to fame in 2005 after the success of his self-penned cult musical ‘Hippos In The Shower’.  After delighting Belfast audiences with three sell-out runs the show was performed at Edinburgh Festival, attracting the attention of comic legends Ben Elton, Adrian Edmondson and Jennifer Saunders.

Geoff has since gone on to become a successful actor starring in Steve McQueen’s ‘Hunger’ and Danny McBride’s ‘Your Highness’ with Natalie Portman amongst many others.

But music has always been Geoff’s first passion, and this much anticipated album draws from his life experiences over the past ten years.

Produced with Rory O’Conner (Delaware), the 16 track album has been a labour of love, taking 2 years to complete.

For this launch a special Rockpool Band will bring the magic they created in the studio to life onstage for the first time. 

As very special support guests, a brand new musical entity Leeward Side comprising of Owen Lamont, Culann McLaughlin, Rory O’Conner and Dominic O’Neill will play for the first time.

The launch night party takes place in Belfast’s Black Box on Wednesday 9^th December.  Tickets priced £5 are available from the Black Box café and website at www.blackboxbelfast.com and can also be purchased on the night.
