Nottingham's Alright The Captain feature members from Birmingham, Yorkshire and Norn Iron but combine to form the most radical new speaker busting sounds you ever popped a bass string at. Experimental but deeply listenable, somewhere in between Primus, Mr. Bungle, ASIWYFA, those who complain that there's nothing new in rock should not miss this!
Joining them will be Chrik, who've been featured on the April '09 compilation from the highly respected Big Scary Monsters records, known for sourcing the hottest indie rock bands. The band have already played with the likes of Papiere Tigre, Tubelord and Blakfish and will bring a hefty slice of instrumental rock to the table and serve it up to you good.
We Are Resistance complete our bass-heavy line-up for this week. Funk rock with attitude, they coould give Rage AgainstThe Machine a run for their moneywith their spiky lyrics, while simultaneously mixing King Crimson style vocals and melodies with the funkiness of Jamiroquai. A must-see live act.
