Up In The Attic is Bruised Fruit's long running club night, and has established itself as the best place to break new local acts in Belfast.
From it's home in Auntie Annie's, UITA has played host to bands from every genre and of every level. Previous performers have included Frightened Rabbit, Panama Kings, Kowalski, Clone Quartet, Panda Kopanda, The Lobotomies, Lafaro, Ed Zealous, The Jane Bradfords, Boathouse, Delorentos, The Evangelists, The Foamboy Deluxe Arkestra and Tom McShane.
Many of these artists feature on the UITA compilation CDs which are released at anniversary parties every ten shows. Since 2006 we have released 7 CDs, and the 8th will be coming out later in 2009.
UITA at Auntie Annie's takes place fortnightly on Tuesdays. Doors open at 9pm and admission is usually £3. We sell a selection of CDs from our online store on the door, and you'll always find a friendly face there if you pop in for a chat.
Demo submissions for a gig at UITA are always open. Either get in touch with us via the website, or drop a CD down to the club in person.
